STK moved to a bigger space on Glendon Avenue in Westwood Village in 2025, a few blocks from where it sat inside the W Hotel for about a decade before that. The new room leans into the brand’s usual thing — lounge lighting, a DJ, floor-to-ceiling windows — because STK has never really tried to be a quiet steakhouse. The chain’s own tagline is “not your daddy’s steakhouse,” and Westwood’s happy hour is where that identity is easiest to see: it’s as much a bar scene as a discount menu.
What to Order
The Lil’ BRGs (mini cheeseburgers) are the signature order — perfectly seared mini patties with melted cheese on buttery brioche buns, easy to share or keep to yourself with a cocktail. The A5 Wagyu Tacos are the other standout: rich, fatty beef with a good char, dressed simply enough that the meat does the talking.
What to Drink
STK’s Not Your Daddy’s Old Fashioned is a solid, well-balanced pour — whiskey, bitters, and citrus zest, and a name that fits the room. The happy hour wine list is approachable too, with good options if you’re not deep into wine.

The atmosphere threads a needle a lot of steakhouses miss: sleek and dark-wood without feeling stuffy, lively without being chaotic. It works well for a casual happy hour with friends, especially if you don’t mind a little music with your steak bites — this is a lounge-forward room, not a quiet date-night spot. Compared to other happy hour spots I like in the area — Fig in Santa Monica, Teleferic in Brentwood — STK Westwood earns its spot with a steakhouse twist the others don’t have.
If you’re planning a visit, note that STK relocated within Westwood in 2025 — it’s now at 1100 Glendon Ave, not the old W Hotel address some older reviews still reference. Happy hour runs off the bar and lounge menu only, so plan on a few rounds of shareable bites rather than a full dinner if you want to stay in the discounted window.
